One of the challenges for Missouri Synod Lutherans is to remain aware of the changes which are quickly taking place within our beloved Synod at a time when those changes are coming at us in a fast and furious fashion. Many of the changes which are bring brought forward in our Synod are both radical fundamental changes to both the nature and character of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
The Lutheran Concerns Association is a long-standing organization which does its best to help the people of the LCMS to be aware of what is happening among us as a Synod. Some ask why they should bother to know what's happening in St. Louis when what's happening at Holy Cross is both enough to know about and more than enough to handle? The answer to this excellent question is actually rather simple: It is important to know about what is happening at the Synod because the future of our Lutheran faith is at stake for our children and grandchildren. Do you want to continue to have faithful Lutheran pastors who will rightly teach God's Word and rightly administer His Sacraments for your children and grandchildren? Then please understand that this may not be possible if our Synod continues to erode its theology and practice. The Lutheran Concerns Association has been and remains a voice of thoughtful dissent within the LCMS. It tells you the news you won't get in The Lutheran Witness or The Reporter. The Lutheran Clarion gives you what Paul Harvey used to call, "The rest of the story." Those who author article in The Lutheran Clarion are well-respected theologians, pastors, and laymen within the LCMS, who have a true heart for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a true love for our Lutheran Confessions and heritage. They speak the truth even when the truth may not be popular.
